What alloy is mixed with platinum?

There are many alloys you can mix with platinum.  The three most popular are cobalt, irridium, and ruthenium.

Which alloy is the best?

The most expensive of the three is ruthenium.  This lasts the longest and will least likely have porosity which are tiny holes that make the metal weak.  Pompeii3 Inc only uses ruthenium to cast and mix with platinum for wedding band and engagement rings.  Cobalt and Irridum are ok but will not last as long because of the chemical composition.
